Our Mission
Our mission is to unite and organize the Sop family, their friends, and other well wishers abroad, and coordinate
efforts with the home based Mbiri Foundation (Sob Family Development Association) to promote community
development in Sop.
In the tradition of our parents and grand-parents before them, it is time for the current generation of children of Sop
to take the initiative and fulfil our legacy.
Our Shufai has challenged us:
"we have sent you all out to learn and acheive
great things; we are happy and very proud of all our sop children. BUT YOU SEEM TO HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT US. Your parents,
brothers, and sisters are dying every day; who is going to bury me? Who is going to educate those left behind
about all these bad diseases that are killing us? Who is going to ensure the growth and safety of
our community? Do you expect me, at this age to continue doing that?"
